Women’s Gym of the Month! Kirby Bree Fitness

October 23, 2026•2 min read

This month, we’re celebrating Kirby Bree Fitness in Cardiff, NSW! ✨

Since 2017, Kirby Bree Fitness has been helping women across Lake Macquarie build strength, confidence and lifelong friendships.

Offering group fitness, Reformer Pilates and specialised classes for women over 60, Kirby has created a space where women of all ages and fitness levels feel welcome, supported and empowered.

What we especially love? Kids are welcome! 👶🩷 As a mum of three herself, Kirby understands that prioritising your health isn’t always easy, especially with little ones in tow.

More than just a place to work out, it’s a community built on connection, encouragement and women lifting each other up.

We asked the owner Kirby a few questions about the gym, community and what makes her space special.

What made you decide to open a female-only gym? 🏋🏽‍♀️

I wanted to create a space where women felt comfortable to train and could bring their kids along. I never wanted having children to be the reason a woman couldn’t exercise. I wanted somewhere women could walk in as they are and feel like they belong.

Do you have a proudest moment as a PT? 🥹

It’s hard to choose just one! Watching women gain confidence, get stronger and achieve things they never thought they could. And seeing the community we’ve built over nearly 10 years makes me incredibly proud.

What do you love about what you do? 🥰

The women, 100%. I love the relationships we build and being part of their lives. It’s so much more than just exercise — it’s confidence, connection and community.

What advice would you give female trainers who want to get their foot in the door? 🩷

Never stop learning. Your qualification is just the beginning. Ask questions, take feedback, put your hand up for opportunities and genuinely care about the people you train. Knowledge matters, but so does how you make people feel.
